The PlayClient website has been updated to a fresh new style. This reflects on changes to the client and updater style.
Additionally, the server status is now checked and updated on the right of the page. This should help clear up some concerns as to why you can't connect to the server in-game.
Simply click the server to check the status. More information will be added at a later date to explain why servers are down.
