The Project
PlayClient is a 2D MMORPG. This game is currently being developed and there is an alpha client that you can play right now.
Unfortunately, server availability is a problem at the moment as we are still looking for a reliable Windows host that can run the servers 24/7.
Check the server status panel to your right to check if the servers are available.
This game is currently in a very early alpha stage, but will continue to grow in time!
Development
PlayClient has been in development on and off for the past year. It's had two huge overhauls to improve the quality of code. (As I improve, I'll improve the game)
I currently have no name for this game, so it has been given the codename: PlayClient just because you can play it and it's the client.
The server used to be called PlayServer, but early in 2014, I split the servers into separate modules.
The server now consists of the AccountServer and the ZoneServer
Since the end of 2015, all server functionality has been moved entirely over to C++, this resulted in a significant performance boost.
The game features a custom engine with the use of ready made libraries such as 39dll 2.5 for the networking.
Graphics used in this game were designed by Enterbrain for RPG Maker VX Ace.
However, the game itself is not developed using RPG Maker VX Ace.
At some point, I hope to find an artist who may be able to help redesign some graphics, but that can only happen when/if the project becomes something more than it already is.
